- Ranked 9 out of 10 on the Linaburg – Maduell SWF transparency index from over 50 SWFs evaluated.
- Adoption of eco-friendly and energy efficient solutions.

- Continued Community Support such as the donation of 126 patient monitors and 63 oxygen concentrators worth $600,000 to 21 hospitals across the country to improve COVID-19 patient care during the pandemic.

- NSIA incorporates ESG metrics, covering climate, gender, and development impact, in its investment appraisal process and actively identifies investment opportunities and innovative climate propositions that generate social and environmental returns alongside commercial returns.

Carbon Vista – a joint venture between NSIA and Vitol that invests in carbon avoidance and reduction projects in Nigeria that meet the dual criteria of supporting UN sustainable development goals and generating verified emissions reductions.

Partnerships
- The Authority continues to explore and forge partnerships with sustainable ESG focused institutions and associations and works closely with the Federal Government of Nigeria to support in achieving the country’s net zero ambitions.
- NSIA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Council on Climate Change to support in developing the Nigeria’sclimate change framework, carbon trading systems and driving the achievement of Nigeria’s net zero commitments.
- NSIA is an active member of the One Planet Sovereign Wealth Fund Initiative which seeks to accelerate the integration of climate change analysis into the management of large, long term and diversified asset portfolios.
- NSIA leads the Climate Finance and Energy Transition working group of the Africa Sovereign Investors Forum (ASIF)
- NSIA works closely with relevant organizations such as the Energy Transition Office (ETO) and the Africa Carbon Market Initiative (ACMI)

Our Theory of Change articulates the building blocks required to actualise our pre-determined goals and details how our investments catalyse positive change.
It derives impetus from the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and incorporates key performance metrics to track, measure and monitor performance as well as trends.
Through our operations and investments, the NSIA is aligned with 15 of the Sustainable Development Goals.
