Mr. Aminu Umar-Sadiq

Prior to his elevation to the office of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in October of 2022, Aminu served as an Executive Director of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) serving on NSIA’s 3-person Executive Committee as well as Board. He plays a key role in implementing NSIA’s overall strategy and driving operational and financial performance.

As NSIA’s Head of Direct Investments, Aminu leads NSIA’s multi-strategy infrastructure activities, directly overseeing more than 20 investment professionals. He is also responsible for corporate governance management and performance reporting for NSIA’s subsidiary entities.

He commenced his professional career in the mergers & acquisitions division at Morgan Stanley, subsequently proceeding to Denham Capital Management, a natural resources focused private equity fund, and then to the mergers and acquisitions division at Société Générale. He serves on numerous Boards in a non-executive capacity including on the Fund for Agricultural Finance in Nigeria (FAFIN), NSIA Healthcare Development and Investment Company and the Multipurpose Industrial Platform Limited (MIPL).

Aminu attained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering Sciences from the University of Oxford (St Johns College). He has also attended a plethora of advanced management programs for senior management executives.
