Why we invest
Institutionalising ESG
Our Board recognizes and acknowledges that ESG is fast becoming the lens through which investors, consumers, employees and other stakeholders make decisions about how to spend their money and time. We are also cognizant of the fact that ESG mismanagement can lead to serious financial costs and reputational damage.
The Board has therefore shifted the institution’s focus from maximizing shareholder value to creating value in a manner that delivers long-term sustainability for all stakeholders. In this regard, the Authority views the successful management of ESG factors as an effective means to optimizing risk management and safeguarding the value of underlying assets.
Our ESG Dimension

We are transparent about our plans, activities, results, and contributions to society through our investment activities, and engage with shareholders, business partners, government, and peer entities through a variety of platforms. As outlined in our investment policy statements, we will maintain a clear approach on responsible investing and sustainable finance.
