He has extensive experience covering commercial law and has provided transaction advisory services across a wide range of corporations having served as Lead Counsel on large ticket transactions covering project finance, oil and gas, real estate, energy and power, financial services, and private equity.
Prior to Simmons Coopers Partners, he had worked at highly regarded and successful law firms including DAC Legal Practitioners, and Alegeh & Co.
Mr. Isiekwena holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL. B) and a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in Competition Law from the University of Benin in 2002 and the Kings College London in 2012, respectively. He is an MBA Alumnus of the Robert Kennedy College, USA which he earned in 2020. He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria having been called to the Nigerian Bar in 2004.
He also possesses substantial Board-level experience having served on various boards including as Director at Slavabogu Construction Company Ltd and as a Board member, Corona Trust Council. He is a member of some professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the International Bar Association where he actively participates in the Committee on Antitrust and Competition law.
