Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer

Mrs. Ijeoma Taylaur

Ijeoma Taylaur is an accomplished finance and business leader with over two decades of experience driving strategy, operational excellence, and financial performance across public and private sector institutions. She is the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), where she drives strategy implementation, strengthens risk and governance frameworks, and optimises operational performance.

Beyond her executive role at NSIA, Ijeoma serves in a non-executive capacity on the boards of Infrastructure Credit Guarantee Company Limited (InfraCredit), Family Homes Funds Limited, RIPLEnergy Company Limited (RIPLE) and NSIA Advanced Medical Services Limited (MedServe), having also previously served on the board of Continental Re-Insurance Plc.

Over the course of her career, Ijeoma has developed deep expertise in corporate finance, private equity, audit assurance, and business advisory. Prior to joining NSIA, she served as Executive Director at Alpha African Advisory (formerly Travant Capital Partners), where she led the Gateway Services Division and oversaw complex advisory mandates spanning mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, due diligence, business valuation, and market-entry strategy for multinational corporations and Africa-focused enterprises.

Prior to her role at Alpha African Advisory, she spent over a decade with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) across its Lagos and London offices, advising clients in the energy, and financial services sectors. Her tenure at PwC provided a strong foundation in financial analysis, risk management, regulatory compliance, and assurance, shaping the technical rigour that underpins her executive leadership.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Institute of Directors.

A strong advocate for socio-economic development and inclusive growth, Ijeoma is committed to expanding and supporting women in leadership roles. She has chaired the Joint Planning Committee of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group’s (NESG) Annual Summit and was a member of the Executive Council of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), where she championed initiatives focused on mentoring, capacity building, and expanding pathways for women’s leadership.
